As a screenwriter and consultant, Sedgwick has worked with companies throughout Ireland, the UK and beyond. These include Deadpan Pictures, Greenlight Productions, Momodica (Malaysia), Abu Media, One Productions, Stormlight Productions, Causeway Films, Lunar Pictures, MoPraxis Films, Magma, RTE, BBC4, Zapala Media, CJ Cookson Productions, Armchair Films, Broadsword Productions and others.
Her work crosses genre and medium. It includes live action and animation, TV, feature and short films. Her series, Punky was recognised as the first mainstream animation series in which the main character had special needs (Down’s syndrome) and won awards globally. It was aired in more than 100 countries, with 5 million hits on YouTube. Her last award-winning short film, Barzakh, was the story of an Afghan refugee arriving into the Irish asylum system.
